A Touch of Peace
This witness before me takes my hand and frowns. You have run to evil and your thoughts are thoughts of iniquity; waste and destruction are in your path. The way to peace you have not known. No peace will you have, but death. There is one who can offer you inner-calm and comfort. Can this peace mean freedom from conflict? Can this peace mean liberty of the turmoil that haunts me? Restless I search for a touch of peace. Here I wait to be released from this prison. I hear a thunderous voice, " Your faith has saved you, go in peace". Elated and full of His grace I leave no room to consider anything. God is in control and His touch of peace gives rest. Restless no more, but peace have I found in Jesus.
" Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid." John 14:27
